Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Job Description

Telnyx is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React.js, Next.js, and modern DevOps processes. This role involves enhancing user interfaces and leading front-end best practices.He/She will be responsible for:

• Building, maintaining, and optimizing modern web applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to implement engaging user experiences.
• Managing deployment workflows using Vercel and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participating in end-to-end DevOps processes.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Staying up-to-date with evolving front-end technologies.
• Leading and contributing to the migration of our styling system from Stitches CSS to Tailwind CSS.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience developing and deploying production-grade web applications using Next.js and React.js.
• Deep understanding of Next.js features like SSR, SSG, API routes, and ISR.
• Proven experience deploying applications on Vercel and working with its platform features.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices in a front-end context.
• Strong familiarity with CSS-in-JS solutions (ideally Stitches) and hands-on experience or enthusiasm for Tailwind CSS.
• Proficient in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest or similar.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
• Comfortable working in Agile or Lean development environments.
