Job Description
MAJORITY is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their team. This role is based in Miami, FL, and focuses on risk analytics within the fintech industry. The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to optimize financial processes, enhance customer experiences, and mitigate credit and fraud risks. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis.
  • Identifying levers to help move essential KPIs and make recommendations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Building and scaling the Data Analytics function.
  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in data science.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in applying machine learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Strong understanding of database systems and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fosters a culture of truth seeking and data driven decision making.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related roles
