Data Management Specialist

Prezzee, a global digital gifting platform, is seeking a Data Management Specialist to join their team in Melbourne. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework, ensuring data consistency and clarity across the organization. The Data Management Specialist will collaborate with various departments to align data definitions, implement change management processes, and foster a culture of data transparency and accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and implement a data governance framework.
• Implement a change management process for data definitions.
• Align and document definitions of data points and key metrics.
• Ensure reporting aligns with governed definitions.
• Champion cross-functional alignment on metrics and definitions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of data dictionaries and glossaries.
• Serve as the point of contact for metric alignment and governance discussions.
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability in data usage.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally to define and maintain consistent business metrics.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical data concepts.
• Proficient in SQL and familiar with dbt, Talend Stitch, AWS Redshift, and Databricks.
• Experience with BI tools and understanding of business processes.
• Confident in navigating change and ambiguity in a scale-up environment.
