Torq is seeking a Business Development Representative to contribute to their sales organization. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is recognized as a top startup employer. The BDR will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities and qualifying leads for the sales team. This is a remote position based in Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, or St. Louis, MO.
What this role involves:
- Generating leads and building relationships by nurturing prospects.
- Developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential customers.
- Qualifying and prioritizing inbound leads.
- Conducting research on target accounts and industries.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop and execute account-based sales strategies.
- Using CRM software tools to track leads, opportunities, and activities.
- Managing time effectively and meeting personal goals.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as an SDR/BDR, preferably in a growth stage startup or a cyber security company.
- Creative problem-solving approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to self-motivate, prioritize and manage unstructured time.
- Familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and sales automation tools.
