Prolific is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their Data Infrastructure Team. This role is pivotal in transforming and maintaining Prolific's data infrastructure, focusing on redesigning and scaling the data stack to ensure robust, efficient, and reliable data pipelines. The Analytics Engineer will own and optimize the analytics codebase, empowering BI-focused teams to deliver valuable insights across the organization, while also driving data accuracy and accessibility. They will also bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring complex data solutions are clearly understood and aligned with business goals.
What this role involves:
- Building complex dbt models, custom macros, and reusable packages.
- Optimising transformations and implementing robust testing strategies.
- Monitoring and maintaining dbt workflow jobs.
- Ensuring data accuracy through writing tests and assertions.
- Documenting and standardizing dbt processes.
- Translating complex data concepts for stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior analysts and data engineers.
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and BI teams.
Requirements:
- Expertise in dbt & SQL.
- Cloud Technology Knowledge (AWS, GCP etc).
