Job Description
Harbinger Motors is seeking a Quality Engineer to enhance its quality engineering processes. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Suppliers, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to define and implement quality standards. The role involves maintaining Harbinger’s quality management system (QMS) and improving operational processes.
Role Involves:
- Developing and implementing quality standards and control systems.
- Inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products.
- Collaborating with production leadership for improvements.
- Conducting technical and statistical investigations.
- Developing corrective actions for supplier and product issues.
- Leading supplier audits, APQP, PPAP, and safe launch activities.
- Participating in design reviews.
- Developing forms for quality data collection and analysis.
- Leading root cause analysis efforts.
- Leading MRB meetings and acting as a quality representative.
- Leading implementation of quality processes and KPIs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or similar.
- 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing or supplier quality engineering.
- Knowledge of ISO-9001:2018 or IATF 16949 standard.
- Understanding of quality core tools (QMS, Audits, APQP, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, MSA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong understanding of drive unit and powertrain.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
