Cash Application Analyst (2 Year Contract)

Job Description

Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Cash Application Analyst for a 2-year contract in Mumbai, India. The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance-related matters across the globe. The Cash Application Analyst will ensure timely application of cash received by affiliates against customer documents, coordinate affiliate account receivable reports, and reconcile assigned accounts.

What this role involves:

• Receive, research, and allocate cash payments.
• Reconcile Account Receivable account balances.
• Identify and resolve inaccuracies and discrepancies.
• Participate in special projects and prepare ad-hoc reports.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams.
• Provide timely and professional responses to queries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Flexible to work in different shifts supporting US & India time zone.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Prior experience with SAP, and/ or Sales reporting would be preferred
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
