Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Testing)

Job Description

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for testing software releases, reporting test results, and managing the bug database. The role involves configuring hardware and software environments, mentoring junior engineers, and assisting in the development of test plans.

Responsibilities:

• Test software releases during product development.
• Report test results and enter problems and issues into the bug database.
• Monitor and update bug reports as needed, including bug report closure.
• Configure hardware and software environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
• Assist and mentor Associate Test Engineers, answering their questions and issues.
• Provide technical expertise on specific products, operating systems and specialized environments.
• Write or assist in the development of test plans and test procedures.
• Completes test-related tasks as assigned by the Test Lead.
• Manage the defect database under the guidance of the Test Lead.
• Assists in the review of test processes as they are developed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, physical science, or engineering
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Mobile testing experience will be an added advantage.
