Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Sensors & Connectivity team and contribute to a new confidential product. The engineer will work within a small, dynamic team of frontend, backend, and firmware engineers to develop intuitive user experiences. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing product area.
Role Involves:
- Building product experiences across the Command web platform (React).
- Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to create user-delighting features.
- Mentoring other engineers.
- Contributing to backend services, if desired.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of web engineering experience using a JavaScript frontend framework, preferably React.
- Mastery of JavaScript: Scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, classes, etc.
- Strong architectural understanding of custom components, custom UI, and cross-browser support.
- Eye for design, product details, and polish.
- Understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques.
- Working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
- Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
