Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Senior Corporate Events Manager to lead corporate events strategy and execution. This role involves managing event lifecycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creating impactful event experiences. The Senior Corporate Events Marketing Manager will oversee the execution of corporate events to amplify brand image at national and international trade shows, internal events, user conferences, and brand activations.
What This Role Involves:
- Overseeing the execution of corporate events.
- Managing event strategy and execution from conception to completion.
- Establishing event goals and budgets while tracking ROI.
- Developing comprehensive marketing plans in collaboration with various teams.
- Building and managing relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Partnering with internal teams to create targeted event agendas and content.
- Overseeing creation of event communications and promotion.
- Developing and delivering event enablement.
- Soliciting speaking sessions for conferences and trade shows.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in high-growth organizations, preferably within the technology sector.
- Demonstrated expertise leading large-scale owned and sponsored programs with proficiency in event management platforms and registration systems.
- CMP and CMM certifications preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
- Outstanding written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience interacting effectively with executive and senior management teams.
- Exemplary project management and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Proficiency with GitLab and adherence to company travel policies.
