The Pokémon Company International is seeking a Sr. Manager for Pokémon Championships. This role is responsible for developing objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of the Pokémon Championships across multiple product categories and age divisions. The Sr. Manager will lead a team and collaborate with internal and external teams to maximize player engagement and fan interest in competitive play.Role involves:
Creating long-term plans and strategy for the growth of the Pokémon Championships.
Managing and overseeing alignment across competition production, operations, player management, and program design.
Leading a team of managers and individual contributors.
Managing and executing projects and plans to maximize player engagement.
Creating alignment across multiple internal teams.
Collaborating with external groups including game developers.
Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with outside vendors.
Preparing ROI evaluations of events.
Ensuring budgets are adhered to.
Providing onsite leadership at tentpole events.
Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel.
Requirements:
Ten+ (10+) years of relevant professional experience (esports, sports, or other competitive program), plus two (2) years of management experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Expertise in the esport space including sponsorships, teams, and competitive formats.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel internationally ~10% of the time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace.
