Job Description
Legend Biotech is seeking a Procurement Category Lead to join their Procurement team in Somerset, NJ. This role is within Global Operations and focuses on implementing global category strategies aligned with Legend’s corporate strategy and financial goals. The Procurement Category Lead will develop sourcing and procurement strategies, manage categories, develop suppliers, manage performance, negotiate contracts, and manage stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to lead the end-to-end RFx life cycle, negotiations planning, and supplier management.Role involves:
  • Developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Identifying value creation opportunities.
  • Collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Assisting with the development of business requirements.
  • Monitoring supplier execution and deliverables.
  • Developing and implementing spend analysis and supplier performance metrics.
  • Establishing key stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • 5-7 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of sourcing and contracting techniques.
  • Strategic mindset with problem-solving, project management, and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of legal terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
