Job Description
Affirm is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Pricing Engineering team. This role is responsible for building pricing systems and data models that power transactions between consumers, Affirm, and merchant partners. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor engineers, ensure system reliability, and collaborate with product managers to design solutions for pricing configurations and user offers.
What this role involves:
- Leading, mentoring, and growing the Pricing team’s engineers.
- Owning the availability, reliability, and performance of team systems.
- Partnering with product managers to design and build systems for pricing configurations.
- Building relationships and engaging with senior management.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities.
- 1+ years as an engineering manager.
- Experience growing and managing a high-performing engineering team.
- Fluency in back-end development.
- Experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products.
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
