Job Description
Parallel is seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to support school partnerships in Alabama for the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves providing bilingual therapy services to students with learning differences, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop IEPs. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also translate educational materials, monitor student progress, and communicate with parents and staff in both English and Spanish.
  • Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish-English) therapy services
  • Translate evaluations, reports, and educational materials
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and IEPs
  • Monitor each child's progress and adjust strategies
  • Communicate with parents, staff, and students regarding progress
  • Complete essential documentation for IEP reports and diagnostic evaluations
  • Participate in team meetings and work collaboratively
Requirements for this position include:
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
  • Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms
  • Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday)
