Job Description
Parallel is seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to support school partnerships in Mississippi for the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves providing bilingual therapy services and conducting SLP evaluations. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and IEPs, monitor student progress, and communicate with parents and staff in both English and Spanish. What This Role Involves:
- Conducting SLP evaluations and delivering direct services to children.
- Providing bilingual (Spanish-English) therapy services.
- Translating evaluations, reports, and educational materials.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and IEPs.
- Monitoring each child's progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Communicating with parents, staff, and students regarding progress.
- Completing essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Participating in team meetings and working collaboratively.
Requirements:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included).
- Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms.
- Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday).
