Job Description
Entersekt, a leader in digital banking fraud prevention and payment security, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering world-class software systems and will help fast-track the building of scalable and secure distributed Golang-on-Linux or Java-on-Linux systems. This role involves delivering features for an Entersekt component team that builds solutions involving GSM channel and identity proofing components for authentication, running in a secure, high-availability Kubernetes environment in the cloud. Standby support is required, and the senior engineer will support the team lead and mentor junior team members.
Role involves:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for GSM channel and identity proofing components.
- Building secure, scalable distributed systems using Golang on Linux or Java on Linux.
- Implementing and maintaining services in cloud-based environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
- Providing standby support for production systems.
- Ensuring performance and reliability through unit and performance tests.
- Following engineering best practices and staying current with technology trends.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience with object-oriented development in Java; Golang experience is advantageous.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software into production.
- Knowledge of unit testing and performance testing.
- Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Understanding of OO and architectural design patterns.
- Good understanding of the SOLID principles and the Twelve Factor App.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of cryptography and PKI.
- Software/engineering qualification preferred.
- Proven track record in mentoring junior team members.
