Network Architect

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a Network Architect to optimize network infrastructure for high-frequency trading applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network engineering, particularly within financial services or similar ultra-low latency environments. This role involves working closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal network performance and scalability.Galaxy is a digital asset and blockchain leader helping institutions, startups, and individuals access and navigate the crypto economy.What this role involves:

• Architecting and optimizing multicast and unicast LANs and WANs.
• Developing and maintaining network automation tools.
• Identifying and mitigating potential sources of network latency.
• Implementing advanced monitoring solutions.
• Collaborating with trading, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Providing technical expertise to resolve complex network issues.
• Liaising with network hardware and software vendors.

Requirements:

• Experience with low latency interconnects and design.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware and operating systems.
• Storage area network design and support experience.
• 8+ years of experience in design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium to large fleets.
• Experience integrating and maintaining cloud platform networks (AWS, GPC, Azure, etc.).
• Experience managing server configurations and deployments as code.
