Job Description
Appian is seeking a Manager of Software Development to join their Engineering Enablement team. This role is based in McLean, Virginia, and requires in-office presence 5 days a week to foster collaboration. The Manager will provide technical leadership, contribute to software development, mentor engineers, and manage HR responsibilities. Role involves:
  • Writing software in a full-stack web and mobile environment.
  • Providing code reviews and technical feedback.
  • Managing up to 6 direct reports through mentoring and coaching.
  • Developing and guiding the career paths of direct reports.
  • Performing HR Management tasks.

Requirements:
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in software development.
  • 1+ years as a mentor or manager.
