Job Description
Bitpanda is seeking a Python Engineer to join their Asset Pricing & Hedging team. This role involves building and maintaining the technology that supports trading and investing in various assets, including stocks, crypto, ETFs, metals, and fiat currencies. The engineer will contribute to adding new assets to the platform, working with new exchanges, and creating tools for price charts and crypto products with leverage.
What this role involves:
- Driving core technical decisions.
- Building high-performance, scalable backend systems using Python.
- Designing and maintaining clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Leading the evolution of the event-driven architecture.
- Tackling complex challenges in pricing, hedging, and asset management.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, websockets, and network communication.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
