Job Description
Vonage is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive outbound lead generation for its Sales teams. This role is crucial in managing the pre-sales process by fostering new business relationships through proactive outreach. The representative will qualify buying interest, understand potential account sizes, and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales team by setting appointments based on qualification criteria.
Role Involves:
- Prospecting and creating new leads to increase the B2B sales pipeline.
- Routing qualified opportunities to the sales team by setting appointments.
- Conducting sales development best practices via email, phone, and social channels.
- Utilizing and leveraging Salesforce CRM and sales engagement software.
- Managing and overcoming prospects’ objections.
- Exceeding monthly quota of qualified appointments/opportunities.
- Building interest and opportunities with new prospects.
- Using lead generation tools to extract contacts and craft targeted lists.
- Meeting and exceeding daily activity objectives.
- Educating prospective clients on Vonage Contact Center (VCC) and other Vonage product solutions.
Requirements:
- Professional selling presence in high-tech or service-related industry.
- Ability to work through complex sales cycles and deal effectively with all organizational levels.
- Ability to tailor communication to specific situations and audiences.
- Ability to independently manage schedule and prioritize competing commitments.
- Ability to integrate trends, data, and information into forecasts, plans, models, and recommendations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with diverse teams, ideas, and inputs.
- Desire to understand and gain expert knowledge of Vonage products and services.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM preferred.
- Well-organized with a go-getter mentality and a pre-planning approach.
