Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Manager for Inventory & Logistics to lead a team responsible for inventory controls and daily execution activities. The Manager will work directly with team members to maintain high service levels, order fulfillment, DIFOT, inventory accuracy, and adherence to standard operating procedures. This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand, but will be responsible for sites across New Zealand, requiring mandatory travel to other sites.Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of their own products functioning as critical components to their own and their customers’ missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of rocket and satellite programs.What this role involves:- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team responsible for inventory control and logistics.
- Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels.
- Managing daily operations including expediting, picking, packing, and local dispatch.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DIFOT and order fulfillment rates.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor's Degree, or High school diploma and/or 5+ years of relative experience
- 3+ years of related experience in Leadership within Supply Chain
- Proven ability to manage inventory teams
- Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
