Senior Commissions Analyst

Job Description

Yext is seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Commissions Analyst to join their Commissions Finance team. This role is based in the Hyderabad office and requires an onsite presence. The Senior Commissions Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and executing the company's commission and bonus plans, which includes processing, reviewing, auditing, and analyzing their effectiveness. The individual will collaborate with various teams, including GTM Operations, Finance, Revenue, HR, IT, and internal/external audit teams.

What this role involves:

• Becoming an expert on Yext teams, roles, and GTM strategy.
• Working on business process optimization including systems design and integrations.
• Managing monthly commission run processes for participant set up and plan assignment and audit controls.
• Calculating, processing, and supporting commissions and related transactions in line with current compensation plans.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance including SOX.
• Providing regular reporting and insights on the effectiveness of incentives and overall sales performance.
• Reconciling sales team compensation statements to administrative reports.
• Tracking compensation agreements and following up with the sales team.

What the candidate should have:

• BA/BS Degree, Accounting or Finance a plus
• 3+ years of commissions experience, SAAS company preferred or relevant professional experience in sales operations, finance, management consulting or a similar field.
• Experience with major Sales Performance Management systems (Callidus a plus), CRM tools (Salesforce), and Tableau.
• Advanced Excel skills – familiar with vlookups, pivot tables, sumif formulas, and similar functions. (Google Sheets, Excel).
• Experience with commission plans, data driven analysis and modeling.
• Strong execution skills with ability to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
• Some exposure or knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX .
• Optimistic and innovative with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across multiple departments.
