Apollo.io, a leading go-to-market solution, is seeking a Lead Fraud Operations Analyst to join their Fraud team. This role involves performing and leading complex product abuse and fraud investigations. The analyst will independently handle investigations, identify vulnerabilities, design procedures, and train support teams.Apollo.io is looking for someone with experience in technical product investigations, from ticket/escalation to data analysis and source-code review. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication and prioritization skills.
Responsibilities: - Investigate customer-reported events, chargebacks, and abuse reports.
- Analyze volumetric/anomaly alerts using SQL/Python.
- Handle external brand abuse cases.
- Build fraud event classification processes.
- Identify and incorporate key data sources for investigation enhancements.
- Determine functional fraud vulnerabilities and partner with Product/Engineering.
- Review external fraud actor activity and leverage open source intelligence.
- Design low-friction KYB/KYC and asynchronous verification procedures.
- Coach junior Fraud Analysts and Support staff.
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in fraud investigations or similar roles.
- Demonstrable SQL-based querying skills.
- Familiarity with chargebacks, disputes, and ACH.
- Experience creating and providing training on operational processes.
- Inquisitive and investigative nature.
- Willingness to work independently and problem-solve.
- Positive, learning mindset and detail-oriented approach.
- Comfort with self-prioritization.
- Excitement about working remotely.
- Good written and spoken English proficiency.
