Software Engineer II - ROR

Job Description

Diligent is seeking a Software Engineer II - ROR to join their team in Bengaluru. The Software Engineer will contribute to the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and performant web applications using Ruby on Rails. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of web services, and experience with relational databases. They will work collaboratively within R&D teams, using Serverless AWS technologies to build SaaS platform and tackle strategic business challenges.

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in Ruby on Rails development.
• Perform deployments and maintenance in production environments.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in IT.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
