Job Description
IONOS is seeking a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a team of operations engineers and technicians. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and effective customer support and the smooth operation of the cloud platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Role involves:
- Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of operations engineers and technicians.
- Providing structure, guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Overseeing the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of complex customer issues.
- Collaborating with other teams to resolve technical problems and improve product quality.
- Monitoring key platform metrics and managing incidents.
- Developing and implementing processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensuring timely and effective customer communication.
- Developing and tracking KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operations.
- Staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support or operations function.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or management position.
- Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and Public Cloud Services.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with IT Service Management frameworks like ITIL.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English and German (C1+).
