Job Description

dbt Labs, a pioneer in analytics engineering, is seeking a Renewals Specialist to join their expanding team in Costa Rica. This is a remote position where the individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end renewal process for commercial customers and supporting enterprise sellers. The Renewals Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping processes, driving customer success, and establishing a strong presence in the region.

The role involves building new processes, identifying inefficiencies, and establishing best practices to scale with the growing business. The Renewals Specialist will manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high retention rates and customer satisfaction, while collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Solution Architects, Deal Desk, and Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the renewal process for commercial customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve retention rates.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the account base.
  • Exceed renewal targets through strategic planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, and finance.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting for renewals.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement.
  • Create and execute quotes and order forms using Salesforce and CPQ.
  • Support migrations between pricing models.
  • Help build the foundation of a new function by establishing processes.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service (sales, support, renewals) in a SaaS business.
  • Experience working asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team.
  • Proven track record handling contract renewals in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS/subscription-based business models.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of customer success best practices and retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and renewal management platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
