Legal Director/General Counsel

Job Description

Gotion Inc., a company focused on electric vehicle and energy storage technologies, is seeking a Legal Director/General Counsel to lead its legal department. This role involves providing comprehensive legal counsel and guidance across all aspects of the business, partnering with senior management to develop and implement effective legal strategies, and mitigating risk.Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the company's legal department.
• Providing strategic legal advice to the President and Executive Team.
• Managing and mentoring the in-house legal team.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with external counsel.
• Staying current on legal developments impacting the energy/manufacturing industry.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive legal compliance programs.
• Participating in strategic business discussions.

Qualifications include:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-known law school.
• 10+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• 5+ years of experience working within the Energy/Manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of experience in investment, financing, international business, engineering, construction, sales, contracts, or procurement.
• Proven track record of success in providing strategic legal counsel and managing complex legal matters.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong ethical principles and commitment to the highest standards of professionalism.
