Job Description
Airtable is seeking a Manager, Base Optimization to lead a team of Base Optimization Specialists. This team delivers personalized 1:1 live sessions, blending strategic consulting and deep product guidance, helping enterprise customers unlock greater value from Airtable. The Manager will be responsible for the performance, development, and impact of this frontline team, overseeing day-to-day operations, driving quality and customer satisfaction, and collaborating cross-functionally to evolve Ask an Expert into a strategic lever for product adoption, retention, and expansion.

What this role involves:
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Base Optimization Specialists.
  • Managing team operations including scheduling, quality review, and performance tracking.
  • Upleveling team delivery through onboarding, enablement, documentation, and frameworks.
  • Partnering with leaders in CS, Support, and Sales to evolve Ask an Expert as a program.
  • Identifying product gaps, service pain points, and enablement needs based on session trends.
  • Representing the voice of the builder in cross-functional planning.
  • Fostering a team culture rooted in excellence, empathy, continuous learning, and operational discipline.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of people management experience in a customer-facing, technical, or enablement-focused team.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Strong Airtable (or similar no-code) builder with a systems-thinking mindset.
  • Passion for developing people and helping customers succeed.
  • Strong operational rigor and communication skills.
