Job Description
Virtu Financial is seeking a Trading Operations Specialist to support its trading desks. This role involves managing trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate operations. The specialist will interact with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, and clients to maintain smooth operations and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring regulatory processes and pre-market activities
- Managing trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation
- Communicating with counter parties and clients, as needed
- Monitoring intra-trading day processes to ensure smooth operation
- Building relationships with third party providers
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a trade support role at a financial institution
- Experience in middle and/or back office trading operations
- Solid understanding of clearing and settlement cycles
- Problem-solving skills to improve trading operations workflows
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to design workable solutions for complex programs
- Interest in growing programming abilities (SQL required, Python a plus)
