Job Description
SpotOn is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II with Python and payments experience to join their team in Krakow, Poland. The role involves:
  • Modifying existing software to implement new features.
  • Correcting errors and improving performance.
  • Conferring with systems analysts, developers, programmers, and others to design systems.
  • Participating in code reviews and mentoring other developers.
  • Ensuring consistency, quality, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of real-world experience with modern Python.
  • Experience in at least one of the modern Python frameworks – Django, FastAPI, Flask.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs.
  • SQL and NoSQL Database skills.
  • Knowledge of Python idioms and design patterns.
  • Using CI/CD processes on a daily basis.
  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies – preferably Scrum.
  • Understanding the end-to-end delivery of software to users.
  • Familiarity with DevOps technologies: Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (min. B2 level).
  • Experience with ES6 JavaScript, and React + Redux (plus).
  • Knowledge of GO language (advantage).
