Job Description
Tailscale is seeking a Product Engineer to focus on billing-related projects. The Product Engineer will work as part of the Billing engineering team to develop the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and backend services. They will also develop the billing integration with a third-party service, strengthening the end-to-end billing experience. The Product Engineer will lead projects related to pricing plans and billing, taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from writing code to product ideation and strategic decision-making. They will work closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to shape features.
Role involves:
- Developing the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and backend services
- Developing billing integration with a third-party service
- Leading projects related to pricing plans and billing
- Taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle
- Collaborating with UX/UI designers and product managers
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Golang
- Strong track record of working with a product mindset and influencing product strategy
- Billing systems experience including Stripe integrations
- Experience with backend and client development
- User-focused design and problem-solving abilities
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently
- Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup
