Fullstack Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Taxonomies and Search team in London. The successful candidate will focus on enhancing and maintaining the platform's core content capabilities, including taxonomies, ontologies, tags, and search. This role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build best-in-class platform insights for customers.Contentful empowers thousands of customers to manage content at scale, and they are looking for someone passionate about building innovative taxonomy and search solutions, optimizing processes, and improving scalability.What this role involves:

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable frontend and backend features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Considering components and systems while considering a holistic user experience.
• Fixing bugs and solving problems to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Utilizing analytics to inform product decisions and improve features.
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving our development processes.
• Working closely with our data department in order to surface useful information to our customers.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in a product development environment.
• Experience in building APIs and services that efficiently handle large volumes of traffic.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Interest in clean code practices and familiarity with enterprise architectural design patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Natural problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to organize and prioritize competing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using CI/CD pipelines and maintaining automated tests with tools like Jest or Mocha.
• Proactive approach with a high sense of ownership.
• Great communication skills in English.
