Senior Full Stack Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their innovative team in London. The successful candidate will contribute to the future of content management and delivery through Contentful's suite of APIs, working on projects that directly impact the company’s strategic goals and deliver a best-in-class experience for customers.

Role involves:

• Working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team.
• Working on cutting-edge projects that directly impact the company’s strategic goals.
• Innovating and improving content management for customers.
• Enhancing REST and GraphQL API experiences.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in a product development environment.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems using Node.js.
• Practical knowledge of building, maintaining, and optimizing GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.), and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient in Git and understanding of workflows such as GitFlow.
• Experience in building and maintaining robust, flexible APIs with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Deep understanding of event-driven programming and handling asynchronous processes in Node.js.
