Job Description

JustAnswer is seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer II to join their team. The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping the future of JustAnswer's technology stack. The ideal candidate will work alongside a high-performing team of engineers to build secure, performant, and delightful experiences for millions of users.

What this role involves:

• Designing, building, and scaling backend services in .NET Core.
• Developing frontend applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Architecting scalable systems for high-traffic environments.
• Contributing to the experimentation platform by building robust data pipelines and analytics integrations.
• Partnering with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver impactful features.
• Improving developer productivity and deployment confidence by enhancing CI/CD pipelines and dev tooling.
• Writing and maintaining comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests.
• Participating in and leading code and design reviews.
• Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to incident response.
• Driving engineering excellence by staying up to date on emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack web development.
• Advanced skills in React, Redux, TypeScript, and JavaScript on the frontend.
• Proven backend experience with .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and event-driven or service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience with A/B testing platforms, analytics frameworks, and instrumenting user behavior for experimentation.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and fault-tolerant systems in a production environment.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and strong knowledge of software design principles.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaborating across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-first mindset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
