Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment & Operations

Job Description

Babylist is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Fulfillment and Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience with HighJump/Koerber/Infios Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and will be instrumental in modernizing and internalizing the company's warehouse technology stack. This role involves optimizing fulfillment operations and requires a self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity and work independently.Babylist is a remote-first company with team members across the U.S. and Canada, meeting in person twice a year to strengthen relationships.Responsibilities:

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the HighJump/Koerber WMS.
• Design, implement, and deploy solutions to improve fulfillment center efficiency.
• Translate real-world fulfillment center challenges into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Manager to build solutions for business-critical operational problems.
• Provide thought leadership around process, tooling, systems, and software architecture.
• Improve and help maintain existing systems.
• Mentor other team members through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Identify opportunities for new product initiatives based on knowledge of the technical landscape and WMS capabilities.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business growth.
• Extensive experience in SQL and at least one other programming language.
• Experience with HighJump/Koerber WMS.
• Growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and a hunger to learn new things.
