Job Description
Xometry is seeking a Manual Quoter to join their engineering team. This role involves client quoting, supplier sourcing, and production planning to support on-time order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate proficiency in CAD, sheet metal design, and fabrication methods. They should also have experience communicating sheet metal design for manufacturability feedback, costing, and possess strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Estimating production costs (materials, machine time, post-processing).
  • Providing recommendations on manufacturing processes.
  • Preparing and delivering detailed calculation results to the Sales/Quoting team.
  • Structuring and documenting personal workflow; contributing to automation improvements.

Requirements:
  • Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of machining processes: turning, milling, CNC, EDM, and sheet metal operations.
  • Familiarity with metal post-processing: polishing, hardening, heat treatment, etc.
  • Solid understanding of various structural materials and their machinability.
  • English proficiency: A2 or higher.
  • Tech-savvy mindset and willingness to work with digital tools and software.
