Job Description
Discord is seeking a Director of Scaled Operations to lead its Scaled Operations team. This team is responsible for policy enforcement, quality assurance, appeals processing, data analysis, agent training, model application, and cross-functional safety initiatives. The Director will report to the VP of Trust & Safety and will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure platform integrity and user safety. They will also be responsible for developing an empowered and healthy team.
What this role involves:
- Leading the Scaled Operations team.
- Developing and implementing a strategy for scaling the team.
- Identifying critical areas for tooling and process improvements.
- Representing the team’s efforts to leadership and external partners.
- Managing people and ensuring their growth and wellness.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience building and managing a Trust & Safety function.
- Experience managing a team in a hyper-growth environment.
- Experience briefing senior decision makers.
- Subject matter expertise in scaling operational systems across global teams.
- Familiarity with Business Process Outsourcing, operations tooling, and machine-learning solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong data and statistical analysis skills.
- Curiosity and ability to learn new areas.
