Principal Field Applications Engineer

Job Description

Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Field Applications Engineer to support cloud service providers and server OEMs in designing solutions using Astera Labs' connectivity products. The candidate will identify customer requirements, propose solutions, and provide hands-on design-in support. They will also drive innovation by communicating customer needs to the engineering teams.Role involves:

• Identifying and understanding customer requirements.
• Proposing Astera Labs solutions.
• Providing hands-on design-in support.
• Driving innovation by communicating customer needs to engineering teams.

Requirements:

• BS in electrical engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience with cloud service providers and server OEM customers.
• Hands-on knowledge of high-speed protocols like PCIe & Ethernet.
• Silicon/System bring-up and debug experience.
• Experience with lab equipment.
• Strong background in high-speed board design.
• Intermediate Python proficiency.
• Experience with embedded firmware debugging.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
