Software Development Engineer Testing III- DSA

Job Description

CommerceIQ is seeking a Software Development Engineer Testing III- DSA to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and implementing test automation strategies from functional and non-functional perspectives. They will find innovative ways to optimize the test strategy for maximizing ROI and add new capabilities to the automation framework. The role involves managing and maintaining test coverage through periodic reports to engineering and stakeholders.CommerceIQ expects the candidate to work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products/features. They will be a key member of the hiring panel and contribute heavily to the tech strategy, working closely with product and design teams.

• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Setting up and implementing test automation strategies
• Optimizing test strategy for maximizing ROI
• Managing and maintaining test coverage
• Working with developers and product managers

• 7-10 years of experience in software testing
• Solid understanding of testing principles, testing types, and methodologies
• Fluency in JavaScript, Java, or Python
• Solid knowledge of SQL
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience with distributed transaction-processing systems or asynchronous messaging technology
• Experience in Database Testing
• Hands-on experience in UI automation tools (Cypress preferred)
• Hands-on experience in web service testing and API automation using Rest Assured/Postman
• Hands-on experience in performance testing using tools like Jmeter
• Exposure to Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers
• Exposure with Linux commands and shell scripts
• Hands-on experience in CI-CD tools like Jenkins
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
