Production Shift Manager

Butternut Box is seeking a Production Team Leader (Shift Manager) to lead a team in delivering the production plan for their dog food. This role involves driving high team performance, continuous improvements, and maintaining health and safety standards. The Production Team Leader will report to the Shift Operations Manager and support daily operations to ensure the highest quality meals for dogs.

Role Involves:

• Conducting daily Health and Safety audits.
• Completing Accident Investigations and near miss reports.
• Reviewing staff training and development.
• Managing labor effectively.
• Maintaining GMP standards.
• Providing supervision and leadership to the Production team.
• Communicating with the SLT team.
• Ensuring daily handovers between departments.
• Working with procurement and planning teams.

Requirements:

• Loves dogs.
• Strong production background in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a high-speed volume manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience with knowledge of safety legislation.
• Pragmatic, adaptable, resilient, and humble.
• Well-practiced planning, organisation, and scheduling skills.
• Good interpersonal, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
• Drives for results and is action-oriented.
