Job Description

EarnIn is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their Design Team in Bangkok. This role focuses on building and maintaining the mobile design system infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be passionate about UX, consistency, cross-functional collaboration, and framework development.

The Senior Android Engineer will partner with designers, iOS peers, and product engineers to ensure a unified, scalable, and accessible design system across platforms. This is a hybrid position based in EarnIn's Bangkok office, requiring two days a week onsite.

What this role involves:

  • Owning and evolving the Android side of the design system framework.
  • Collaborating with designers to translate Figma designs into UI components.
  • Partnering with iOS and product engineers for platform design parity.
  • Managing the design system backlog and prioritizing features.
  • Defining versioning and governance standards for Android component releases.
  • Implementing tools to streamline Figma-to-code workflows.
  • Creating internal documentation and onboarding resources.
  • Monitoring token and component usage for improvements.
  • Contributing to cross-functional standups and design critiques.
  • Implementing unit and UI tests for design system components.
  • Upholding design and accessibility standards across the mobile app.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Android development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development tools.
  • Experience contributing to a shared Android UI library or design system.
  • Deep understanding of UX and interaction design principles.
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design tokens.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform consistency challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
