Job Description
The Student Hotel (TSH) is seeking a Breakfast Chef for their Glasgow location. This role involves taking control of the breakfast service, ensuring guests receive a delicious and memorable experience. The Breakfast Chef will be responsible for prepping, cooking, and maintaining the breakfast service, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. TSH prides itself on being a fun, creative, and inspiring environment where everyone can be themselves.
What this role involves:
- Taking control of the breakfast service
- Setting up and breaking down the breakfast service
- Understanding daily specials, menu changes, and dietary needs
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Monitoring incoming goods
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Putting away deliverables in an organized manner
- Monitoring HACCP guidelines and fire safety policy
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food products according to market standards
- Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques
- Availability during morning hours (6:00 - 16:00)
- Legal right to work in the UK
