Job Description
Verkada is seeking an Account Executive to join their Mid-Market West SLED Team. This role focuses on generating new business within state and local government agencies, as well as educational institutions across the Western United States. The Account Executive will play a crucial role in helping customers operate safer, smarter buildings with Verkada’s cloud-managed physical security solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and closing new business to meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
- Building an understanding of Verkada products and their industry position.
- Managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, demos, proposals, and closing deals.
- Maintaining accurate pipeline management and forecasting.
- Exceeding activity targets through proactive outreach.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers and Channel Partners.
- Collaborating with Channel Partners, Solutions Engineering, and Technical Support.
- Providing market feedback to Verkada’s Product/Engineering team.
Requirements include:
- Ability to work in-office 5 days a week in San Mateo, California.
- At least 2+ years of sales experience in a quota-carrying capacity.
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced startup environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience in Salesforce is a plus.
- Tenacity, drive to learn, and self-motivation.
Verkada offers:
- An annual on-target earnings (OTE) range of $125,000 - $190,000 USD, comprised of base compensation and commissions.
- Additional compensation opportunities, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs).
