This role involves shaping the narrative and securing high-impact earned media coverage to make the app a household name. The PR Manager will lead US PR campaigns, manage the PR agency, and pitch to various media outlets.
Role Involves:
- Leading US PR campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Managing the PR agency, providing clear briefs and feedback.
- Pitching to national, lifestyle, business, and trade press.
- Building and executing media strategies for executive visibility and B2B positioning.
- Translating internal needs into actionable media opportunities.
- Tracking and reporting results to ensure coverage drives visibility and business impact.
- Supporting local media relations, media tours, and event coordination.
Requirements:
- Extensive PR experience (agency or in-house).
- Proven ability to manage PR agencies and lead execution.
- Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media landscapes.
- Sharp editorial instincts and an eye for newsjacking opportunities.
- Excellent writing and pitching skills.
- An existing network of media contacts (a strong plus).
- Experience with marketplace, food, or consumer-tech brands.
- A resourceful, target-driven mindset and flexible, positive attitude.
- Spanish proficiency (nice to have).
