Software Engineer - Data Engineering Team

Job Description

Prove is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Data Engineering Team. This role involves designing and developing the digital identity infrastructure, contributing to software component designs, writing efficient code, and ensuring designs meet requirements. The Software Engineer III will also engage with product and IT/Ops teams to define technical requirements and ensure timely production releases.Responsibilities include:

• Contributing to designs of major software components, systems, and features
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code that meets coding standards
• Ensuring designs comply with requirements, perform code reviews
• Owning delivery of software features from inception to production
• Engaging with Product to define technical requirements and design
• Engaging with IT/Ops to ensure software makes it out to production in a timely manner
• Exercising creative thinking and imagination to find solutions to hard problems
• Promoting, maintaining, and enhancing our cultural values of humility, passion, inclusion, and leadership

Qualifications include:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one of them (e.g., Python, Java)
• Experience architecting and developing solutions to complex problems.
• Experience with public cloud services.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or other quantitative fields or relevant experience.
• Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL, Graph QL and No SQL technologies.
• DevOps Experience highly desirable
• Strong passion for learning about our products and markets through in-house and external training.
• Experience in high growth /pre-IPO Technology companies is a plus.
