Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to become a trusted technical advisor to leading cloud service providers and server OEMs. This role involves designing solutions using Astera Labs' connectivity products, understanding customer requirements, and providing hands-on design-in support. The Senior FAE will drive innovation by gathering customer requirements and defining new products, collaborating with top engineers in the industry.
Role Involves:
- Designing solutions using Astera Labs' connectivity products.
- Identifying and understanding customer requirements.
- Proposing Astera Labs solutions that provide clear value.
- Providing hands-on design-in support.

Requirements:
- BS in electrical engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Cloud service providers and server OEM customers.
- Experience designing complex SoC/silicon products for Server, Storage, and/or Networking applications.
- Customer-oriented, goal-driven, and self-motivated.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Hands-on knowledge of high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, Infiniband, DDR, NVMe, USB, etc.).
- Silicon/System bring-up and debug experience.
- Experience with lab equipment (protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Strong background in high-speed board design techniques.
- Understanding of Data Center systems (Servers, JBOGs/JBODs, Networking switches/routers etc.).
