Staff/Lead Product Designer

Job Description

Diligent is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead UX and visual design for its brands. The role involves defining and leading experience strategies, owning the design process from concept to handoff, and collaborating with designers, product management, and engineering. The Staff Product Designer will execute research, communicate design to stakeholders, contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, and mentor junior designers.

Role Involves:

• Defining experience strategies for Diligent's products
• Owning the complete design process
• Collaborating with designers, product management, and engineering
• Executing research (discovery, exploratory, and validation)
• Communicating design to stakeholders
• Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and learning
• Partnering with the team to see products to release and beyond
• Mentoring junior designers

Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Portfolio demonstrating design of products
• Degree in design, technology, or psychology (or equivalent)
• Experience designing SaaS products for the B2B market in an Agile environment
• Experience designing complex products from inception to release
• Proficiency with current design tools
• Strong communication skills
• Experience designing mobile and web-based applications
