Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Startup Account Management to lead a team of 5-10 Account Managers. The manager will be responsible for driving expansion and retention across Anthropic's fastest-growing startup customers. This role involves building and developing a high-performing team, establishing frameworks and processes, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 5-10 Startup Account Managers.
  • Owning team revenue targets across expansion and retention.
  • Building scalable frameworks and processes for account planning and customer health monitoring.
  • Partnering with Product, Marketing, and other GTM teams to identify strategic growth opportunities.
  • Establishing best practices for startup customer engagement.
  • Reviewing customer health metrics and developing action plans.
  • Mentoring team members in consultative sales skills.
  • Driving operational excellence through pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
  • Participating in strategic customer conversations.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or account management.
  • 3+ years in a people management role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding team revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem.
  • Deep expertise in strategic account planning and enterprise relationship management.
  • Experience building and scaling account management processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellence in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Background in technical product sales (APIs, infrastructure, or ML/AI solutions).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
