Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Startup Account Management to lead a team of 5-10 Account Managers. The manager will be responsible for driving expansion and retention across Anthropic's fastest-growing startup customers. This role involves building and developing a high-performing team, establishing frameworks and processes, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 5-10 Startup Account Managers.
- Owning team revenue targets across expansion and retention.
- Building scalable frameworks and processes for account planning and customer health monitoring.
- Partnering with Product, Marketing, and other GTM teams to identify strategic growth opportunities.
- Establishing best practices for startup customer engagement.
- Reviewing customer health metrics and developing action plans.
- Mentoring team members in consultative sales skills.
- Driving operational excellence through pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
- Participating in strategic customer conversations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or account management.
- 3+ years in a people management role.
- Proven track record of exceeding team revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem.
- Deep expertise in strategic account planning and enterprise relationship management.
- Experience building and scaling account management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellence in cross-functional collaboration.
- Background in technical product sales (APIs, infrastructure, or ML/AI solutions).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
