Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their ISS team in Prague. This role involves improving the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure applications by owning their development and operation. The engineer will set SLO goals, assist colleagues, and ensure backend web servers, load balancers, and database servers run smoothly.

Role Involves:
  • Designing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise systems.
  • Establishing sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
  • Supporting services through system design, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Scaling systems sustainably through scripting and automation.
  • Collaborating with team members across business units and time zones.

Requirements:
  • Coding ability with C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience in design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of software systems.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach and strong communication skills.
  • Experience in analyzing performance & debugging Enterprise Systems.
  • 5+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure engineer (preferred).
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux, and optionally Windows operating systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code / Automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation) (preferred).
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration systems such as Docker and/or Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Expertise with hybrid (bare metal/public cloud - AWS preferred) cloud environments (preferred).
