Job Description
NextEnergy Group is seeking a Security & Information Security Architect to define and implement security measures across its operations. This role involves setting the security vision and ensuring secure-by-design principles are applied throughout the organization, from operational technology to corporate systems. The Architect will collaborate with the Data Protection Officer, Network & Security Engineering team, and external advisors to align security controls with best practices.
Responsibilities: - Set and evolve enterprise security architecture for IT, OT, and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Embed security and privacy requirements into solution designs and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive threat-modelling and risk assessments for new projects.
- Lead architecture on secure network topologies.
- Define IAM, encryption, and key-management standards.
- Review and select third-party security solutions.
- Serve as technical SME for compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with the DPO on data flow mapping and impact assessments.
- Track emerging threats to the energy sector.
Requirements: - 5+ years in security architecture/cyber engineering.
- 3+ years securing renewable energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of Azure security services and DevSecOps tooling.
- Experience hardening corporate business platforms.
- Familiarity with offensive-security techniques.
- Strong grasp of OT protocols and SCADA architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder skills.
- CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF (Security), or Azure Security Speciality (desirable).
- ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Specialist or GIAC GICSP (desirable).
- Experience navigating ISO 27001/27019 certification, NIS2 readiness, or TSO cybersecurity codes (desirable).
